RATHER THAN EXPELLING THE STUDENT, THERE WAS A SERIOUS RISK OF YOUR CHILDREN MARY'S WAS THE SWING VOTE AND WITHOUT MARY'S BOAT, THE STUDENT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN BACK ON CAMPUS POSING A SAFETY RISK TO YOUR CHILDREN AND I THINK IT'S CLEAR THAT THESE ACTIONS COMPROMISE THE SAFETY AND SECURITY IN SCHOOL. CAPTURED ON THE FONTANA SCHOOL BOARD TAPE, THE ACTIONS CAN BE REFUTED.

SO, BY APPROVING THIS CONTRACT, WHAT WE ARE DOING IS MAKING SURE WE DO HAVE THE STAFFING AVAILABLE.

WE DO HAVE A RATHER ROBUST PROCESS IN WHICH WE IDENTIFY, REALLY, WHAT THE NEEDS ARE. SO ONE OF THE THINGS THAT USED TO HAPPEN IN THE PAST IS THAT WE HAD STUDENTS THAT WERE NOT ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING, BECAUSE WE DID NOT HAVE THE STAFFING OR THE SPACE.

WHAT WE DO RIGHT NOW IS WHEN WE RECEIVE OUR EXTENDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM FUNDS, WE WERE PROVIDING THE PHYSICAL ABILITY TO EXPAND OUR SERVICES AND MAKE SURE THAT WE DO NOT HAVE ANY KIDS ON THE WAITLIST. SO, WE HAVE A REALLY GREAT PARTNERSHIP WITH BOTH OUR CITY AND THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB.

>> I WANT TO THANK OUR ENTIRE LEADERSHIP TEAM THAT CAME TOGETHER OVER SUMMER . MAINLY WITH THE LEADERS ON THE BACK AND ON THE SITE HERE CONTRIBUTING TO THE SUCCESS OF THOSE TWO DAYS. I'M JUST SO PROUD TO SERVE ALONGSIDE THIS BOARD OF EDUCATION, LEADERS, AND OUR COMMUNITY HERE. IF WE HAD A CHANCE TO CONNECT AND EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF BUILDING RELATIONSHIP AS A FOUNDATION OF OUR WORK, WE ARE WORKING WITH PEOPLE, WITH STUDENTS, WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS.

WE HAD A CHANCE TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN WORKING TO COLLABORATE AND DEVELOP ALIGNED GOALS PER THE ALIGNED GOALS WE ARE WORKING ON TO SUPPORT OUR SCHOLARS, STAFF AND PARENTS, AND COMMUNITY, SO IT WAS NUMBER ONE.

LASER -LIKE LOOK IS ON POWERFUL ACADEMIC OUTCOMES FOR ALL STUDENTS, ALL MANAGERS, ALL STAFF.

NUMBER TWO, WITHOUT FAIL, FONTANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WILL INTIMATE A SAFETY FOR STUDENTS IN SEPT.

NUMBER THREE, FONTANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WILL BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH PRO ACTIVE COMMUNICATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. IN THE FOURTH ONE, F USD WILL BE STEWARDS OF PUBLIC TAX DOLLARS TO A PURPOSEFUL USE OF PUBLIC RESOURCES. THOSE ARE THE GOALS IN THE AREAS OF FOCUS WE ARE WORKING AROUND.

WE WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE BOARD OF EDUCATION AS THEY DEVELOP THEIR BOARD GOALS. A COUPLE OF WEEKS.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO DOING THAT. THE LAST THING WE DID AS A GROUP WAS EMPOWER ALL OF OUR LEADERS TO PROVIDE THE BEST LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR SCHOLARS AS THEY START SCHOOL HERE ON AUGUST 3RD. AS WELL, WE DEEPENED OUR UNDERSTANDING OF HIGH- PERFORMING EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS ACROSS THE WORLD TO BENCHMARK OUR DISTRICT AGAINST WHERE CAN WE IMPROVE, WE HAVE GAPS, STRENGTHS, AND HOW DO WE IMPROVE IN A CONTINUOUS CYCLE OF IMPROVEMENT
