THE 2020 REFUNDING. THAT WAS DONE ON A TAXABLE BASIS. MEANING THAT THE INVESTORS THAT ON THOSE BONDS HAVE TO PAY TAXES ON THE INTEREST. THE TAX-EXEMPT BONDS, THEY DON'T HAVE TO PAY INTEREST. THEY TRADE AT A LOWER RATE. THERE ARE $152.9 MILLION OF THOSE BONDS STILL OUTSTANDING. THOSE BONDS WERE ISSUED IN 2020. IF WE CAN LOOK AT THE NEXT PAGE. WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE BONDS IS [00:10:05] BECAUSE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TIME OF WHEN YOU ISSUED THEM IN TODAY, INTEREST RATES HAVE GONE UP. RIGHT. THE LAST THREE OR FOUR YEARS . THAT MEANS THE VALUE OF THE BONDS, NOT THE VALUE TO YOU, BUT THE VALUE TO THE INVESTORS WHO OWN THOSE BONDS HAVE GONE DOWN AS INTEREST RATES GO UP THE VALUE OF THE BOND GOES DOWN. BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT MAKING AS MUCH INTEREST. SO REMEMBER THIS THAT NUMBER I SHOWED YOU ON THE BACK PAGE. ON THE FIRST PAGE WAS ABOUT 159. THE VALUE OF THOSE BONDS WE THINK WE CAN GET BACK ABOUT 30% OF THOSE BONDS. NOW WE WILL WORK ON THE 30% AND IN THE SECOND I WILL TELL YOU WHAT THAT MEANS. IF YOU LOOK AT THIS TABLE UNDER WHERE IT SAYS THE TAXABLE AMOUNT, ONE THIRD OF THAT WOULD BE $45 MILLION. FOR THEM IN DOLLARS IS CALLED THE PAR AMOUNT. THE FACE AMOUNT OF THIS. THAT WILL MEAN A LITTLE MORE INTEREST BUT IF YOU LOOK AT THE GREAT PIECE OF THAT PIE CHART AT THE BOTTOM, IT'S A SAVINGS GROSS OF ABOUT $9.5 MILLION. IT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF RIGMAROLE AND STUFF MOVING AROUND BUT IN FACT WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS IS WORKING WITH AN UNDERWRITER TO IDENTIFY WHO OWNS THESE BONDS. REACH OUT TO THEM AND GET THEIR SENSE AS TO WHETHER THEY'D BE INTERESTED IN SELLING THOSE BONDS BACK IN THE NUMBER THE UNDERWRITER HAS COME UP WITH IS ABOUT 30% OF THOSE BONDS ARE AVAILABLE. WE DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS THE CASE. WE DON'T KNOW IF THAT REALLY CAN HAPPEN OR NOT. IT WILL COST ANYBODY ANYTHING UNTIL IT ALL TAKES PLACE. THAT'S THE ESTIMATE. WE DID THIS IN DECEMBER WITH A DISTRICT IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. WE THOUGHT 30% AND WE ACTUALLY GOT 50% BACK. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO TAXPAYERS? IF IT WORKS, THIS IS THE PROJECTED TAX RATES ON PAGE 6. THE PROJECTED TAX RATES FOR ALL THE DISTRICTS NOT JUST THESE ONES BUT ALL THEM. TAXPAYERS ARE CURRENTLY PAYING ABOUT $50 PER $100,000 IN ASSESSED VALUATION PER YEAR. BECAUSE WE WILL BE GETTING THESE BONDS BACK THAT HAVE A LOT OF INTEREST AT THE LONG END, WE WILL BE GETTING MOST OF THAT SAVINGS WHERE YOU SEE THE GREEN. SO EVEN THOUGH WE ARE TALKING ABOUT 9 1/2 MILLION DOLLARS IN SAVINGS IT'S NOT NINE AND HAVE MENTOS TODAY. IT'S NINE AND HALF MILLION DOLLARS SPREAD OVER THIS 25 YEAR PERIOD. THERE WILL BE A LITTLE MORE INTEREST GOT RUMOR SHOWED YOU ON THE CHART THERE'S MORE INTEREST TO BE PAID IN THE EARLY YEARS. THAT IS WHAT THE RED IS. THERE WOULD BE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT IT THE TAX RATE GOING UP A COUPLE YEARS BUT WHEN YOU GO EIGHT OR NINE YEARS OUT THOUGH SAVING START COMING IN. DEPARTMENTS WERE PREPARED TO REVIEW THEIR CONCENTRATED AREAS OF FOCUS GOT THEIR ACTION STEPS AND ANY RELEVANT METRICS FOR SUCCESS. IN ADDITION THE TEAM HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO DELVE INTO THE A2 BEHAVIORS FOR SMARTER TEENS. WE APPRECIATE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS ON THAT DAY. I HAVE LEARNED TO WRITE AND HOLD A CONVERSATION. >> WHAT I LIKE BEING IN THE DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM IS IT HELPS ME LEARN MORE LANGUAGES. I WANT TO LEARN FOR LANGUAGES. LEADERS IN DIFFERENT PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT STATES IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. HAS HELPED MY DAUGHTER GROW IMMENSELY. THE FIRST TIME SHE REALLY EXPERIENCED ADVERSITY WAS WHEN SHE WENT TO KINDERGARTEN AND CLASS WAS 90% SPANISH. BUT WE JUST HAD HER CONTINUE TO PUSH FORWARD AND I THINK MY DAUGHTER HAS DEVELOPED A GROWTH MINDSET. NOW MOVING FORWARD, I BELIEVE THAT MY DAUGHTER FEELS THAT SHE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL EVEN IF SHE'S NOT SUCCESSFUL AT FIRST. I THINK THERE IS NO BETTER EXPERIENCE FOR A CHILD TO HAVE. SHE HAS DEVELOPED GRIT AND DEVELOPED PERSEVERANCE AND TENACITY TO LEARN AND GROW. AS A PARENT, I'M VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS. >> FROM A VERY YOUNG AGE THEY LEARN TO BE GLOBAL CITIZENS COULD THEY GROW SOCIALLY, ACADEMICALLY AND ACROSS CULTURES. IT WILL LEAD THESE MINORS DOWN A DESTRUCTIVE PATH ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THIS BOARD WILL KEEP IT FROM THEIR PARENTS. GENDER DYSPHORIA STARTS WITH A PRONOUN CHANGE IN DIFFERENT CLOTHING. BUT THEN STARTS GOING DOWN INTO HORMONE TREATMENTS, PUBERTY BLOCKERS AND LATER DOWN THE ROAD OF REMOVING HEALTHY WORKING ORGANS.
